RYAN CARTER

Captain Ryan Carter is a chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces, presently posted to the Canadian Forces Chaplain School and Centre where he trains incoming military chaplains. He holds a BA in Criminology and Social Policy from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada, an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Durham University, U.K., an MA in Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations from Hartford Seminary, and is a doctoral candidate in the history department of Queens University, Canada, where he studies race and ethnicity in medieval Muslim communities.
